Introduction
Hi! My name is Elia and welcome to my blog. Where to begin…I was born in Cologne, Germany where my own Mother was born and raised. My father was born and raised in Israel where I was also lucky enough to have spent a short period of my childhood. However, I mostly grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, San Diego. I fell in love with San Diego and decided to stay and work a year while figuring out graduate school plans (looking to study Art Therapy). During this time I applied to the JDC’s Jewish Service Corps and got accepted. I spent last year living in Cologne, Germany as the JDC Fellow, supporting and working for the Jewish community by developing programs for Jewish engangement and education. Currently, I live in Bat Yam, Israel as a Masa Israel Teaching Fellow where I am assisting the English learning of elementary aged children in a neighborhood school.
